Big Sky Golf Club, Pemberton, B.C. – Since 1994, just 25 minutes north of Whistler, lies a golf setting so magnificent, it must be experienced to be properly appreciated. Designed by Robert Cupp, Big Sky using a southern style design, unforgettable setting, and playability to all levels. Cupp’s design includes 45 acres of bent-grass fairways, surrounded by dense bluegrass, fescue, and seven lakes joined by a serpentine creek throughout. Thought by many as a ‘second shot’ golf course, bent-grass green complexes come in all sizes. Surrounded by false edges and run-offs around the greens, precise approach shots are required; otherwise trickling into bent-grass collection areas below the green surfaces known as ‘Cupp’s Hollows’ which require decisive shot selection.
