The third oldest club in Sydney, Bonnie Doon began with an assembly of ‘golf mad cranks’ at the home of Dr Charles Adam Patricks in 1897. Recently re-designed by Ogilvy and Clayton, the course features large, undulating greens and views of the city. Bonnie Doon isn’t particularly long at 5,947 metres, but has enough complexity to tame the modern power player. To score well at Bonnie Doon you’ll have to think your way around. Position from the tee and accurate approach shots are rewarded. The wind too, will also play its part.
